Article Review Procedure
The author submits an article to the editorial board in accordance with the “Instructions for Authors” for Submitting Scientific Articles for publication in the Journal.
Research articles submitted for publication are accepted and registered by the journal’s executive secretary.
Manuscripts must be reviewed within one month from the date of article registration. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are sent for review to one of the editorial board members or to an independent expert recommended by a member of the editorial board, depending on the research topic.
The reviewer reflects on the article's relevance and relevance to the journal’s scope, its scientific level, any identified deficiencies, and recommendations for revisions. If the review indicates the need for correction, the article is sent to the author for revision. In this case, the date of receipt by the editors is considered the date the revised article is returned.
Reviewers are notified that the manuscripts submitted to them are the authors' private property and are classified as confidential. Reviewers are not permitted to make copies of articles for their own use.
Reviews are conducted confidentially. The author of the reviewed work is given the opportunity to review the review text if they disagree with the reviewer's conclusions.
The editors will notify the author of the review results by e-mail.
If the author disagrees with the reviewer's opinion, the author has the right to provide a reasoned response to the editorial board. The article may be sent for a second review or to the editorial board for approval.
The decision on the advisability of publication after review is made by the editor-in-chief and, if necessary, by the editorial board as a whole.
The editorial journal accepts for consideration scientific articles in English, incorporating the results of research in relevant areas of pedagogical sciences. Materials that are inconsistent with the subject matter are not taken into consideration.
Articles are accepted by the editorial board via the online article submission system.
The manuscript of a scientific article submitted to the editorial office of the journal undergoes the initial review procedure for compliance with the journal’s profile, editorial requirements, and technical design rules. At this stage, the article (the entire article file, with all output data, annotations and keywords in three languages, a list of references, and information about the authors).
The scientific article should contain the results of original scientific research previously unpublished and not intended for publication in other editions. If remarks on the subject matter, design, or low originality of article are found, the article is returned to the authors without review, and the author receives a corresponding notification.
Scientific articles submitted for publication in the journal should constitute at least 70% of the original text. Articles are not considered if the plagiarism detection system identifies attempts to conceal the use of other authors’ works. In such cases, authors are provided with a REPORT on the results of the text document review.
The article corresponding to the journal profile and publication requirements is accepted for consideration and sent for peer-review.
Peer-review of scientific articles’ manuscript in the editorial office of the journal is carried out in order to provide the quality of the published article, the correctness and credibility of the presentation of the results, to maintain the academic image and a high scientific level of the publication, as well as to select the most relevant and practically significant scientific works. All materials submitted for publication in the journal are subject to review.
Reviewers are appointed by the Chief Editor, who are specialists in the relevant field of research, from among the leading foreign and Kazakhstani (to local reviewers) scientists on the article profile. Peer review is carried out by using the double-blind peer review method.
The reviewer evaluates the article for the relevance of the topic and scientific novelty, the appropriateness of the methods used by the authors, the reliability of the results obtained, as well as its structure and style of presentation (quality of translation into English). All remarks and suggestions for the article are drawn up in a review. Complying with scientific ethics, reviewers adhere to the requirements for the ethics of scientific publications, are as objective and impartial as possible.
The reviewer can make the following recommendations for publication of the article:
- “The article can be recommended for publication” – if the manuscript does not contain comments, conforms to the requirements of relevance and originality of scientific research. In this case, the manuscript is included in the list of prospective publications in the journal;
- “The article can be recommended for publication in case it is revised in accordance with the reviewer’s remarks” - in this case, the article is sent to the authors for revision. After receiving the revised text, the editorial board sends the article to the reviewer for peer-reviewing again. If the reviewer still has significant remarks on the article, the article is rejected by the editorial Board without the right to further revision;
- “The article cannot be recommended for publication” - in this case, the article is either rejected by the editorial board or sent for re-review, which is possible only once for this article.
The Editorial Board of the journal reserves the right to refuse publication to the author who wished to leave the remarks of the reviewer without attention. The reviewer also has the right to conduct an additional check on the use of borrowings in the text of the publication through available Internet search systems.
The period of peer-reviewing articles is no more than 3 weeks.
After receiving reviews, the issue of received articles is considered at the next meeting of the editorial Board and a final decision is made on whether to publish the article or refuse to publish it based on the reviewers’ conclusions. Pre-printing preparation of an article for publication is compulsory and consists of technical editing, monitoring compliance with the accepted standards of design and rules for publishing articles in the journal. The Editorial Board may not agree with the authors on the technical correction of articles and does not enter into discussions with the authors of articles.
